This collection of mid-century children’s literature features two of the most enduring series in American publishing history: Nancy Drew and The Bobbsey Twins. These volumes represent the golden age of youth mystery and adventure, characterized by sturdy hardcover bindings and the iconic storytelling of the Stratemeyer Syndicate.
Includes:
1. 1959 Meet Nancy Drew by Carolyn Keene: This hardcover book (7.5" x 5") introduces the intrepid young detective Nancy Drew in three exciting mysteries: "The Secret of the Old Clock," "The Hidden Staircase," and "The Bungalow Mystery." It's in overall good condition, showing some age and use, with the cover starting to separate from the pages.
2. 1931 The Bobbsey Twins Wonderful Secret by Laura Lee Hope: This hardcover book (246 pages) follows the adventures of the Bobbsey Twins as they uncover a secret. It's in good condition for its age, with some wear and writing on the inside cover. It does not have a dust jacket.
3. 1950 The Bobbsey Twins at the Seashore by Laura Lee Hope: This hardcover book (8" x 5.5", 216 pages) features the Bobbsey Twins enjoying a seaside vacation. Illustrated by Janet Laura Scott. It's in good condition, with yellowing pages and a dust cover showing age and use.

The centerpiece of this lot is the 1959 Meet Nancy Drew, a special three-in-one edition introducing the world's most famous girl detective through her first three cases: "The Secret of the Old Clock," "The Hidden Staircase," and "The Bungalow Mystery." Joining Nancy are two adventures with The Bobbsey Twins: the 1931 Wonderful Secret in its classic green cloth binding, and the 1950 At the Seashore, which remarkably retains its original dust jacket featuring artwork by Janet Laura Scott. All three books are in good vintage condition, possessing a soulful patina. While they show honest wear—including yellowing pages, some internal writing, and a loosening cover on the Nancy Drew volume—they remain charming artifacts of 20th-century family reading traditions.

This lot is vintage, over 65 years old.
