1968 Jim Beam Donkey Container/Decanter. Creation of James B. Beam. C. Miller. Measures about 12" in height. I did not wash it. I don't know why there is a hole in the ear. Very good condition. I have 2 of these.
Own a piece of American whiskey and political memorabilia with this authentic 1968 Jim Beam Donkey Decanter. Standing approximately 12 inches tall, this collectible was part of Jim Beam’s famous series of election-year decanters produced every four years to celebrate American politics. Crafted by Regal China and designed by C. Miller, the donkey represents the Democratic Party and is creatively dressed in a white clown suit with bold red polka dots and a vibrant blue ruffled collar.
This piece is in very good vintage condition, though it remains unwashed to preserve its original character. A common feature of these specific 1968 political figurines is a pre-drilled hole in one ear, which collectors often note was a manufacturing detail of the design. The base includes the original gold labeling identifying the contents as "Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey" and marks its origin from the James B. Beam Distilling Co.. It is a perfect addition to a man cave, bar display, or a collection of 1960s political history.
This item is vintage, over 55 years old. While it appears to be in very good condition, there is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. In the unlikely event I missed a major flaw I would reach out prior to sending it.
