Add some classic 1970s humor to your collection with this pair of vintage Garfield glass mugs from the original McDonald's promotional series. These heavy glass mugs were manufactured by Anchor Hocking and feature the iconic orange tabby cat in his most relatable, lazy moods. The first mug depicts Garfield lounging in a hammock, while the second shows him stubbornly refusing to "rise to the occasion" on a see-saw.

Each mug stands 3.5" tall and features vibrant, crisp graphics that have remained in excellent condition over the decades. These were a staple of American kitchens in the late 70s and 80s and are now highly sought-after nostalgia pieces. While originally sold as drinking glasses, modern collectors often prefer to use them as decorative display pieces or pencil holders for a desk.

These items are vintage, over 45 years old. While they appear to be in excellent condition, there is the possibility I may have missed a minor detail. In the unlikely event I missed a major flaw I would reach out prior to sending it.

Note for Collectors: Please be aware that vintage character glassware from this era, including these Garfield mugs, was often decorated with paints containing high levels of lead and cadmium. Due to the risk of heavy metal leaching, especially as the paint ages, these are recommended for display purposes only rather than for active use with food or beverages.
