1995 Dept. 56 Springtime Stories of the Snowbunnies "My Woodland Wagon at Turtle Creek" Figurine. Bisque porcelain. Measures 6 1/2" in height by 8" long. Excellent condition visually, has something rattling around inside. Comes with box. Box is beat up.

This charming 1995 release from the "Springtime Stories of the Snowbunnies" collection by Dept. 56 captures a whimsical narrative of friendship and seasonal change. Titled "My Woodland Wagon at Turtle Creek," the piece is crafted from the series' signature matte bisque porcelain, lending it a soft, non-reflective texture that emphasizes the delicate sculpting. The scene is full of life, featuring a industrious turtle and bunny duo transport a wagon overflowing with the first blooms of spring. Fine details like the tiny birdhouse, the bluebird companion, and the wood-grain texture of the cart showcase the high level of storytelling found in mid-90s Department 56 miniatures.

While the Snowbunnies are often associated with lighthearted holiday decor, the earthy "woodland" elements and the focus on nature allow this piece to sit comfortably within a more curated Dark Academia shelf display, perhaps alongside botanical sketches or natural history volumes. Visually, the figurine is in excellent condition, with all the delicate porcelain blossoms and bunny ears perfectly intact. Note that there is a small piece of porcelain rattling internally—a common occurrence in hollow-cast vintage ceramics that does not affect the external display. The item comes with its original box, which shows significant wear and tear, but has served its purpose in protecting this festive springtime scene for over three decades.

This item is vintage, over 30 years old.
