Vintage Hull Pottery Yellow Wild Flower 6.5" Vase. Made between 1946-1947. Excellent condition. This was cleaned but further cleaning is recommended.

This exquisite 6.5-inch vase is a premier example of American art pottery from Hull’s highly coveted "Wildflower" line, produced specifically during the post-war years of 1946 and 1947. The piece (model W-3) showcases the signature matte pastel finish that has made Hull a cornerstone of mid-century collections. The glaze features a delicate sunshine yellow that blends seamlessly into a soft peach and a verdant green base. On the face of the vase, a vibrant cluster of high-relief wildflowers in shades of rose-pink and cream serves as the focal point, accented by detailed green foliage and the graceful, fluted silhouette of the vessel.

As a "scholarly curiosity," this vase carries a significant historical weight, representing the peak of 1940s botanical-inspired design. It is a sophisticated addition to a library mantle or a sunroom, offering a touch of organic, academic gravitas that fits perfectly within a traditional or Cottagecore-inspired interior. The vase is in excellent vintage condition, retaining its velvety texture and structural integrity. While it has been pre-cleaned, the porous nature of the 1940s matte glaze means an additional gentle cleaning is recommended to fully restore its original soft luster. This is a soulful find for serious Hull collectors or those looking to anchor their space with an authentic piece of mid-century floral art.

This item is vintage, over 75 years old.
