Vintage Ucagco Leaf-Shaped Floral Dresser Tray

A shallow ceramic tray shaped like a broad, stylized leaf with scalloped edges. The white porcelain surface is decorated with a delicate spray of soft pink flowers and green foliage. The "veins" of the leaf are subtly molded into the ceramic, giving it a gentle texture. The finish is a smooth, high-gloss glaze. Vintage Ucago Leaf Shaped Floral Dresser Tray. Measures about 7" total by 6.5". Shallow depth. Very good condition. It looks like something rubbed on the side but it isn't terrible.

This vintage dresser tray by Ucagco is a graceful example of mid-century Japanese ceramic imports. Shaped like a single, broad leaf, the tray measures seven inches across and features a delicate floral motif rendered in a palette of soft pinks. Ucagco (United China and Glass Company) was known for producing high-quality porcelain giftware during the 1950s and 60s, and this piece captures that era’s fascination with "nature-inspired" vanity accessories. The shallow depth and organic, scalloped edges make it as functional as it is decorative, perfect for holding daily jewelry or small trinkets.

The botanical theme and refined porcelain construction make this an ideal "scholarly curiosity" for a desk or a vanity. It fits beautifully within a "Cottagecore" or traditional study, functioning as a catch-all for fountain pens, postage stamps, or delicate heirlooms. The tray is in very good condition, with the pink floral transfers remaining vibrant and the glaze bright. There is a small area on the side where a minor rub mark is present, but this is a subtle sign of its history and does not detract from the overall beauty or structural integrity of the piece. It remains an elegant find for collectors of Ucagco ceramics or anyone looking to add a touch of mid-century botanical charm to their organizational rituals.

This item is vintage, approximately 65 years old.
